Future Safe?

It was yet another train journey for me from home to bangalore., when i got to witness 2 intersting incidents..I was engrossed in an india today magazine,the most recent one tooo hard to put it down,probly wud make a gud archive to read in the future..It selected disparate fields and had asked the BIGS in respective ones,to comment on Indias future in next 30 yrs..Wot made it so compelling was that it had commented excerpts from the magz edition some 30 yrs bac n featured it next to a present article in the same field...It was quite funny to read , the then telecom minister in 1980's commenting that landlines are luxuries and can't be afforded for lower middle class.Now it is estimated that every single indian would have access to mobile phones with the present growth rate of telecom industry..I would love to go on n on abt the articles featured, but let me jus stop here n recommend it with 2 thumbs up sign to read the magz..
And now coming bac to the 2 incidents that i saw....As i was engrossed in the mag,one young chap turns up,shows a 50 Rs note to the person next to me (who had jus walked in to the bay from the restroom) and asks if it was his..And to my surprise, this guy refuses tat it was his..And to add on more, the other guy drops the note to the TTR n leaves...Am i dreaming??????? or was it that i happened to be surrounded by gud ppl yday?? Wotver be it..I felt like going out n give a JAPPI for tat guy..
Coming to the not so serene 2nd incident, A guy..who calls himself as an ex-police officer every 2 mins,boards the train n happily goes n lies down in a vacant berth w/o having a valid ticket.The same TTR (a young chap) who featured in my prev para, asks him to go to the unreserved compartment. And this is how the conversation goes after that...

ex-pol : Mein ex-police office hoon..
TTR : so?
ex-pol : 3 star cadre rank mein tha..
TTR : so wot? go to unreserved compartment..
ex-pol : (now realisng that it is not working as expected) Bolo kitna chahiyae...mujhe ek seat chahiyae,kitna bhi ho..
TTR : (taken back ) mind your words Mr..
ex-pol : Mujhe railways ke bare mein patha hai...bolo kitna chachiyae..
Now the TTR promptly summons the incharge Police and chuks him out of the compartment in the next station...

Hmph!!!! A few good men!!

Lots been happenning arnd me.Am jus an onlooker for most of the events,n though i know it doesn't affect me directly,it makes me twitch,smile or bang on the desk.
Starting with Twitch ...
Wot does '93 blast had to do with me? y does it irate me to c 100 ppl being convicted and as police is being patted on the bac for a commendable 86% conviction rate..the dark reality was lost in the wilderness in the backgrnd of sanjay dutt episode.. I doubt anyone would be able to name the primal culprit behind the blast,while the media was happy debating over the sentence given to Dutt and me n my friends over a cup of evening coffee..Alas he was declared not a terrorist n convicted under ARMS act ..Iam not against the courts verdict or Mr.Munna Bhai..But Can someone kindly explain if a person needs an AK-56 and handfull of grenades n explosives for personal safety?? I can't fathom y shud one need a gun n explosives of such calibre for personal use.. And a glance at the plea of Dutt in court shud have made for a gud bollywood flick.HE pleads to the judge that his daughter (who has been brought up by her grandparents in Newyork ever since Mr.Dutt divorced his wife and is not a toddler but 18yrs of old) had to be supported and wow!!! there somes the 2nd plea...rs 160 crore wud be struck in films.. Sorry Mr. Dutt !! you jus managed to keep ur head above water coz of ur face value.

SMILE i did when DADA was announced in the test team 11 for SA. I doubt Ganguly with the present form he is in and in the seaming pitches of SA would fare any better, but iam biased to DADA..I was a guy who used to miss classes n tests in Bits to watch Ganguly sixes..In the end of day, talent,form comes secondary to grit, And ganguly on his day i beleieve has lots of it..

And BANG..??? when a love smitten bloke called Nitish Katara and his relationship with Bharti had to be debated in the 4 walls of court. N imagine Bharti's plight, she had to hide the truth to save her bros while proving a relationship that meant so much wrong...Phew!!!

Frankly...i did twitch,smile n bang...but i doubt i did for the reasons i said above....It were all gud placebos that fitted well..They jus made a gud read during the free time in office and to debate with Preeethiiii endlessly...U think about the goriest possible news for max 10 mins,like wot came in NDTV about a guy who had run an ashram to molest 12 yr olds, n the kids not knowing wots been happening, still insisting to stay bac in the only roof they have..Phew!! There i digress again to the happenings arnd me...But Iam jus a normal one in a million Techie guy...a self centric guy...who twitches,smiles for his own gud or bad..

The difference between incidents and news is jus tat one happens to u and other to someone else..

So, y did i twitch,smile n bang?, if not for these??

I did twitch when my friend buzzed me in gtalk n asked me somehting for reasons best left to him.I think i have become more indifferent day by day.Relationships do matter to me a lot, but hve started becoming less n less dependent or caring towards them..prob the scar of the past had to be blamed for my demeanor..Probably a year bac i wud have minded to explain but i think i don't have it in me for anymore mushy gushy stuffs..

n Smile i did at the end of my trip to chennai to meet my GF..Gud that it finally materialised after a minor hiccup in the form of typhoid last month..The best thing i like abt in any meeeting with a person is to have time for him/her...n that i did have in tons during the trip as i asked her befr the trip not to take me out anywhere n wud be more happy to be locked in her house..

n bang???? tats best lleft to be written in my personal diary :)
