City of Angels...

Iam not a guy who fetches paper napkins while watching movies..Yeah,Some movies move u,make u think about it twice ,but when it plays on ur mind even on the next day ?? Then there is something wrong with me or with the movie..right??
Ok..LEt me make more sense..I was advised :) to watch the film "A city of Angels" by my GF yday over a couple of other movies...I had my own qualms reading the caption "She never believed in angels untill she fell in love with one" on the top of the cd.I made up my notion tat this is gonna be another mushy gushy love story and am gonna fall asleep midway through it..
The film started off with a doc's life...I'll have to tell u here tat I just can't stand docs in movies..Call it J or an unfulfilled dream of mine..It keeps hurting me n am sure it wud hurt me even in my death bed that i didnt do justice to wot i was capable of..
PRobably iam hyping up this film than wot it is due...Some may not even like it for that matter..But there were a few scenes in the film that jus refused to leave me..
Like for instance when Meg Ryan's line
"I did all right..text book stuff..n he still died..why??"
n to top it all..Cage's line
"I would have rather had one breath of her hair, one kiss of her lips ,one touch of her hand than eternity without it."..
Iam not sure if i have to advocate the film to others as a must watch....but if u watch it alone...it surely does stirr u..The dialogues were so powerfully coined n simple tat it makes u think upteen times 'y doesnt it strike me before damn it' ??
n i found the answer for a famous question too...wot is love??
Ryan says -- It is a word ...its crap..its full if crap...its nothing..probably everything..
N u shud see the scenes where Ryan puts in words to explain a particular feel and taste..

Alas!! It surely made my day yday!!!! :)

PS : I wonder y indian story tellers dont even think out of box!!! I have watched 5 english films over the last 2 weeks and every film was so vastly different from others..Ok..I accept that indian culture is ingrained with dance n frolic..but y cant it be different even then??
One film tat made me feel so proud of indian cinema was Anbe Sivam.....Wot r films for if they dont make u think? cry? laugh???? Indian films surely does cater to the latter 2 senses i mentioned...but "think" ??????
